This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week.
You will join a fantastic team at our service in Kingstanding, where you will be supporting an extremely active young adult with autism on a 1:1 basis.
The individual will be going to college 3 times a week and will also need support when taking part in exciting activities such as rock climbing, ice skating, swimming and walking on his days off at various locations.
There will be an opportunity to support other individuals at the service as and when required. The individuals we support have a range of complex needs, including sensory loses and learning disabilities.
We are looking for a Support Worker who is a calm, enthusiastic and confident person who can think independently and build good relationships with the residents, staff and professionals.
There are many benefits of working at our service in Kingstanding, full training will be given once you are successful, and you will only be required to work one full weekend every three weeks.
The shifts vary throughout the week and the shift pattern at this service are as follows: 7am-2.30pm, 2pm-9.30pm and sleep-in shift is from 9:15pm-7:15am. The sleep-in shift expectation would be once per week.
