You'll become part of a fun, friendly team who provide support to two ladies with complex support needs within their own residential setting.
The great thing about this job it that no two days are ever the same. As a Support Practitioner, you'll support both ladies with their day to day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care, moving and assisting and medication.
With both ladies enjoying being part of their local community, we're looking for you to be enthusiastic about participating and supporting them with their hobbies and interests which include arts & crafts, day trips, baking, swimming and going for walks.
Here at Cornerstone, we recruit on Values and transferrable skills; we're more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ qualification too!
As both ladies have their own mobility car, we are ideally looking for someone who has a full driving license, however, this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
- A caring and compassionate attitude
- The ability to work well in a team
- Great communication and organisational skills
- A positive approach to learning
- A drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
- Confidence in the use of computers
As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns do include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
