Have you managed, led and co-ordinated the effective design, development, implementation and support of new and existing IT systems? If so, you could be the Software Development Manager we’re looking for!

Job Description

As our Software Development Manager, you’ll ensure common development techniques, methodologies and practices are implemented and followed, as we design, develop and roll out support systems for new and current IT systems.

Playing an active role in the development team, you’ll be hands on with coding and development activities and will liaise with users and external partners to understand requirements and frame solutions which are appropriate in terms of function, cost, timescale and benefits.

Working arrangements

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your home and 1-2 days a week in our London Office.

About you

Degree qualified in a technology, computing or related discipline or significant relevant industry experience and will be a Subject Matter Expert in core technology such as:

  •  .Net, ASP.NET
  •  C#, JavaScript
  •  SQL
  •  MS Power Platform
  •  Visual Studio 
  •  Microsoft SharePoint 
  •  SQL Server 
  •  FTP Server
  •  Dynamics AX, D365
  •  CRM software and integration / use of customer data

You’ll have previous experience leading a team and will have significant experience of developing and supporting technology solutions. You’ll have strong experience in managing and working with virtual teams and 3rd parties and will have knowledge of design and review processes and operations (e.g. Code reviews).

You’ll also have the following skills and experience:

  •  Strong analysis and exploitative ability working with 3rd parties and vendors.
  •  Able to work with staff at all levels up to and including senior management/leaders.
  •  Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to liaise and work with non-technical people in a clear manner.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, able to work with and discuss topics with a non-technical audience
  •  Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively.
  •  A flexible approach to operational requirements
  •  Self-motivated and a self-starter
