About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced policy professional to lead the Soil Association’s policy influencing work in Wales, at a crucial time for food, farming and land use policy. The Soil Association influences policy ‘from the ground up’ and is focused on achieving a mainstream transition to agroecological farming, regenerative forestry and healthy and sustainable diets. This is a new role with an initial focus on agriculture legislation, the Sustainable Farming Scheme and wider land use policy, but with scope to develop a broader food policy focus. The role will involve close working with the Soil Association senior policy leads in Scotland and England and with farming organisations and partner NGOs in Food Policy Alliance Cymru.
About you

About our organisation
The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity which works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.
We campaign for change, we support farming innovation, we serve healthy food in communities, we support and grow the organic market, and we protect forests. We couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. We make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.
