Job Title: Procurement Business Partner

Fairhive Homes is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community and are striving to do more.

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner  to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.

As a Procurement Business Partner you will  focus on the development of a full and well maintained contract register which will
facilitate better business planning for timing of procurements. You will be responsible for identifying where
procurements are required, and increased oversight of the scale of procurement at the Fairhive including recognizing where additional support and training will be required.

On the Job you will also :

  • Be responsible for identifying where procurements are required, and increased oversight of the scale of procurement at the Fairhive including recognizing where additional support and training will be required.
  • Be promoting the use of the procurement portal, frameworks and the most efficient and safe
    routes to market.

About You

We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with a diverse range of people and who understands the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to all our customers.

For this role you will need:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards
  • Good strategic procurement knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to
    influence at senior levels
  • Commercially astute and customer focused
  • Excellent contract management skills
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Knowledge of legislation in Public Sector procurement
  • Experience managing end to end procurement and commissioning activities in a Public Sector Environment
  • In-depth technical procurement knowledge
  • Resilience to meet the varied demand and pressure of the role

 

You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:

  • the ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined team,
  • good time management skills
  • practical problem solving skills
