We are excited to currently be recruiting for Marketing Communications Officer to join us on a permanent basis at out head office in Bristol.

The Marketing Communications Officer will work closely with the Marketing Managers across all aspects of the bank’s marketing and promotions activity. This is a varied and challenging role with a that remit includes the full range of marketing activity - planning, development, deployment, evaluation, and reporting and supports integrated campaign planning and delivery for our Retail Banking and Business Banking Divisions.

You will be involved with cross-team collaboration and have access to support from a team of in-house specialists, supplemented by external agencies.

You will be integral to the creation and delivery of customer facing marketing and communications materials (copy writing, briefing designers, production/mailing suppliers - external mailing houses for bulk postal, the internal Digital team for emails) and support on other content including digital assets, advertising and films for use in appropriate owned channels (social media, website) and partner/affiliate channels.

This role offers the opportunity for flexible Hybrid working.

What we are looking for:

Essential

You will have a good understanding of marketing and communications principles, with a solid strong track record in supporting the delivery of campaigns, promotions, and a wide range of materials on time and within budget.

You will be able to present information clearly and with confidence and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with excellent administration and project management skills with an ability to handle multiple projects and work streams quickly and efficiently.

A genuine interest in furthering the sustainable practices that benefit people and planet and a sound working knowledge and understanding of sustainable & ethical business/charity and consumer topics and issues are also key to this opportunity.

Desired Experience

• Previous experience of working in either a financial services organisation or other regulated sector is desirable.
• Record keeping and basic financial reporting.
• Experience planning, delivering and reporting on marketing and communications and/or sales projects and campaigns.
• An understanding of marketing and PR with experience of writing for varied audiences, including social media channels.
• Experience of using current marketing tools and techniques to plan, deliver and report activity across different channels.
• Experience of working with creative Adobe software – in particular Adobe Photsohop and InDesign

What we offer

In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with salary of between £29,000 to £35,000 (depending on experience). Plus an extensive benefits package where most of our benefits are non-contributory! Our benefits include:

• Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 8% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards
• Life Assurance (worth 4 times basic pay)
• Income Protection - 75% of basic pay after 13 weeks sick and following six months service

• Vitality Leave – After each 7 years of service, you will be able to take a sabbatical of up 3 months
• 25 days (FTE) plus bank holidays per annum with additional increase in holiday though length of service (up to 5 days FTE)

• Season Ticket Loan available for commuting into the office
