A hands-on role, responsible for the planning & delivery of the company's marketing, media & communications strategy. Working closely with senior management & colleagues to raise awareness & drive relevant potential customers to us.
This role would suit an experienced marketing professional seeking part time work and an be based remotely or from the Cheltenham office.
Core duties will include:
Develop company marketing strategy and related material.
Develop and implement systems to collect, monitor and evaluate marketing, communications, media and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Identify customers and their current and future needs.
Regularly monitor the competition and developments in the market.
Organisation of customer focused events.
Maintain company presence at industry conventions, seminars, and other events
Plan and execute online and print advertising campaigns where relevant, within the marketing budget.
First point of contact for media related enquiries
Work with other company staff to ensure a consistent message across internal and external communications.
Ensure staff are aware of the overall communications/brand strategy and communicate guidelines.
Report on social media and online activity to staff.
Website content management, including user analytics.
Manage and expand the online/social media presence, including general and industry specific sites.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience within a marketing, media and/or public relations role.
Proven ability to develop relationships with other organisations, media representatives, clients and other external bodies.
Practical knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools/software such as Google Analytics and Web-based and print-based materials.
Demonstrable experience in email, social media and/or print marketing.
It would be desirable if candidates also:
posess writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills
Experience of responsible investment, general financial services.
Ideally educated to degree level or possess a relevant marketing qualification such as CIM Cert/Diploma or possess the equivalent practical experience.
Professional communication skills: Including advanced verbal and written English language skills
Relationship building skills: Able to build relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
Good team working abilities and interpersonal skills: Able to engage colleagues and build enthusiasm for the marketing activity and garner support or delegate activity when appropriate.
Strong administrative skills: MS Office packages including Word, Powerpoint & Excel
Technical Marketing skills: Ability to navigate and manage web content system and ideally infographic design etc.
Strong planning and prioritisation skills: For building an effective marketing and communications plan in line with market trends and for event planning.
Budget management: To plan and execute marketing strategy within budget
Keen interest in sustainability/ethical issues and to work in the responsible investment area.
Creative thinker able to bring fresh ideas
Collaborative and flexible to achieve outcomes and is keen to add value to the organisation’s culture and ethos
Resourceful to gain maximum benefit from the marketing and media opportunities and the budget.
Quality focused and attentive to details: To produce high quality appealing campaigns that are representative of the business and its values.
Knowledgeable and approachable: to be the marketing expert within the team and share that expertise with the management team and colleagues as required.
