Job Description

Could you help some amazing people to communicate, express themselves and connect with the world?

Sense is currently recruiting Support workers to join our service in Bristol, attracting a salary of £9.25 per hour.  We have full time roles available working up to 37.5 hours per week. The roles are based in the BS10 and BS7 areas of Bristol.

As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible.

Our Bristol service supports people with complex disabilities, including autism and mental health needs, aged 18 to 25. In addition to assisting with personal care, you’ll support our residents to do the activities they enjoy; this might include sports, acting, trips to the theatre, cooking, or supporting someone to attend social events.

Key skills and experience

Previous Care experience is required for this role. It is really important that you’re adaptable and able to work on your own initiative, always putting the people we support first.

For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a male candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

To apply

Please use the link below to complete your application. Managers will use your application to shortlist candidates in relation to the Personal Specification; therefore it is very important you complete this section thoroughly.  We would recommend that you read the candidate guidelines and job description (found at the base of this advert) before applying.
