Job Description

Salary:
Variable hour 'Learning Support Buddy' roles are paid at £10.50 per hour.

About the role
Our buddies are fun, friendly and compassionate people with a genuine desire to support and encourage Young Adults (aged 20-40) with learning disabilities.

We are looking for people to support learners in an outreach capacity on our fantastic community based learning programme, Building Futures, as we continue the exciting expansion of our activities into the Woking area (there may occasionally be a need to- also work in the Guildford area too). Working as a halow Learning Support Buddy you will provide highly person-centred 1:1 support to a Young Adult(s), helping to promote life skills, independence, social skills, leisure opportunities, educational provision and community access.

Building Futures sessions run during term time from 10am to 4pm on weekdays, however, you would have the flexibility to pick up additional working hours in the wider halow buddy service if desired. These will also be paid at £10.50 per hour, with an additional rate of £50 per sleep-in in the Supported Living Houses should you choose to cover extra shifts (but this is not a requirement of the role).

Flexible, negotiable hours.
Pro rata 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, workplace pension, employee discount scheme, and other great employee benefits.
Fully paid training and ongoing career development.
