We are Sense, a high quality care service in Margate, who are passionate about supporting adults with complex needs, including sensory losses and learning disabilities.
You will make the day to day the best it can possibly be for both you and the people you will support. The people you support are active and adventurous individuals, you will need to come up with ideas and solutions to make the most out of every day.
For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint a female candidate only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9). You must have a valid manual UK driving licence and be willing to use our vehicles. You must also be happy to support in the pool, the individuals we support enjoy Hydrotherapy and pool based activities. Perfect if you are a keen swimmer.
However you don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. Above all we want someone that shares in our values. These are:

The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include some support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as disco, hydropool and outdoor pursuits.
