As our Digital Content Manager, you will play a key role in reaching people and ensuring a greater impact. You will do this through managing digital content for our award-winning Heart Matters magazine and other health content supporting people with heart and circulatory conditions.
You will help shape and drive the user-centred digital content of the Health Content Team, informed by the needs of people affected by heart and circulatory diseases.
You will work to improve user experience and search optimisation - planning, managing and in some cases producing a portfolio of digital content in multiple formats. You’ll work in an agile way, making changes to content in response to analytics and audience feedback. With the support of colleagues across the British Heart Foundation, you will ensure all content achieves maximum engagement, reach and impact with our target audiences.
You will also work with experts, internal and external, to ensure that content is evidence-based, current, and meets high editorial standards.
Your working week will be split between home working and around one day per week in our London office. You can work in our office more frequently if that is your preference. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working
We understand that you might need a little help balancing your work and home life. Many of our people work flexibly in different ways, from the hours or days they work, to their office or home location or a blend between the two. Please feel free to talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need; we’re happy to explore what’s possible for you and the role in helping to deliver our cause.
With excellent communication, attention to detail and presentation skills you will be experienced in managing digital projects, have a good understanding of search engine optimisation, and be familiar with Google Analytics or similar tools. You'll have the ability to tailor content for different online audiences, using insight and content design skills, and will have writing and/or editing experience. You’ll be able to work quickly to meet deadlines and respond to fast-changing situations.
You will have excellent IT skills including previous experience of using content management systems and Photoshop (or similar). With experience in stakeholder management, you’ll be able to build effective relationships to achieve common project goals.
