Sense are looking for a motivated Deputy Care Manager to join our professional team at one of our services in Edgbaston, Birmingham. This is a full time permanent post working 37.5 hours per week in a Residential Service.
We support 7 adults who are deafblind and have complex needs aged 18-65. The role requires hands on support and personal care to male and females at times.
The applicants we are looking for need to be enthusiastic, active, of an outgoing nature, organised, proactive and want to support people to lead full and active lives in line with their life aspirations. We are looking for applicants; to want to strive for best for the people we support.
You will need to have a sound knowledge of person centred planning, rota planning and staff management/development. We would like to hear from you if you are a committed, flexible and enthusiastic team player who is able to coach and mentor a team of support workers. You will be IT literate and able to undertake some administration duties.
The working week is 5 out of 7 including weekends you will also be required to do sleep ins as part of your role. Please read the job description for full details of what the role involves.
You must be willing to work towards BSL level one (or equivalent), or be working towards an accredited award. You will need to have had proven experience of supervising and line managing staff, as well as experience of coordinating and planning a range of activities.
