Are you driven by data? Motivated by mapping? This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the collection and management of Wiltshire’s biological data, managing a team who provide specialist GIS mapping work, deliver species recording projects and are directly involved in the development of key environmental policies and strategies. The Wiltshire and Swindon Biological Records Centre (WSBRC) sits within Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and, as the WSBRC Manager, you will be joining a dynamic team within a charity committed to creating living landscapes across Wiltshire, with over 40 nature reserves and 20,000 members. WWT delivers high profile, nationally important work, from nature recovery projects through to adult wellbeing and youth education.
The Trust is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic leader and manager who is committed to the development of the WSBRC. The post holder will be someone who is able to use their technical knowledge and understanding of data management and GIS software to support the commercial requirements of the WSBRC and also engage with key policies and strategies to support nature’s recovery.
If you are looking for a management role whilst being able to pursue your passion for biological data and GIS mapping, we’d love to hear from you.
