Are you an experienced business analyst with an eye for a brilliant opportunity and a passion for growing communities?

Job Description

Are you an experienced business analyst with an eye for a brilliant opportunity and a passion for growing communities?
We are looking to appoint a business development analyst on a four-month fixed-term contract to lead the development of our 10xGreener programme, an experimental project to support communities to self-fund a ‘postcode gardener’ for their local area.

The purpose of the role is to gather the market insight and evidence to make a recommendation to Friends of the Earth about the future of the programme. We have recently conducted a review of the programme so far; your role will be to look forward, conducting market research to understand the audiences, potential revenue streams, funding, and partnership opportunities for the postcode gardener model.

 Key Skills and Attributes:

You will have direct experience of market research and business development, ideally in the social enterprise or purpose-led business sector. You will be able to demonstrate a practical understanding of pathways for scaling pilots to potential ventures, as well as what the barriers are and how these might be overcome.

In addition, you will have a good understanding of the community gardening / urban greening sector, with an awareness of key stakeholders and where opportunities might lie.

The team:

You will work with the Experiments Team, a small team leading Friends of the Earth’s approach to innovation. We catalyse practical experiments in an uncertain world to ensure a better transition for everyone

Closing Date: 6th February 2022

We offer a competitive range of benefits, good work/life balance, excellent learning and development opportunities and a vibrant organisational culture.
We are an equal opportunities employer and are especially keen to encourage applications from people currently under-represented in the environment movement.
