Job Description

It's an exciting time as Sense has just released its new strategy, we now have an opportunity for Support Workers to join our service in Louth.  

We have permanent part time roles available, working weekends only. We are fully flexible so you can work Saturday or Sunday or both; the shifts are 7.5 hours each. Just let us know what suits you. We are able to be fully flexible for the right candidates!

Here in Louth we support people with complex health and communication needs to access activities within their home, our Sense centre and the local community. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. Your day will be full of variety - from working in the individuals home, being at our Sense Centre, working in the community and being involved in lots of fun activities.

You may also support with personal care needs, as well as help to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing.

Your duties can include:

  • To support individuals / groups within the centre and community.
  • To provide a customised, responsive and high quality service to people with multiple sensory impairments, physical and/or learning disabilities who use Sense services.
  • To deliver services which meet or exceed organisational expectations and standards.

Your required skills and experiences:

  • You don’t need to have previous experience in this field, nor do you need qualifications – we’re happy to work with you to help you become an excellent support worker. 
  • Knowledge of multi sensory impairments / learning difficullties is beneficial.
