Organisation Overview

The Prince’s Trust believes every young person should be given the chance to flourish.

Since 1976, we’ve achieved a great deal, supporting more than 1,000,000 young people across the UK, and have returned £1.4 billion in value to society over the last ten years alone. Yet, this still represents only a small proportion of the young people who might benefit from our support. Three in four young people on our programmes move into work, education or training. Our job is to inspire and support them, to help them reach their potential, so that they can thrive and society can prosper.

Many of the young people we help are disadvantaged, either in, or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.

Our free programmes give young people the practical skills and financial support they need to stabilise their lives. We help them develop key skills while boosting their confidence and motivation so they can continue to dream big.

Work with us!

Here at The Prince’s Trust, we believe in building a diverse and inclusive organisation that is representative of, and responsive to the needs of our young people, employees, volunteers, partners and stakeholders.

We want to engage with like-minded positive people, with a great can-do attitude, who are passionate about the future of our young people. Working with a multitude of partners, our teams work tirelessly to deliver highly practical and impactful support.

As evidence of our commitment to our people, we are proud to hold the Investors in People Silver Standard, and we invest in the training and development of our people, enabling them to do the best work of their lives.

We are committed to supporting you in balancing your home and work life and ensuring that your work and working environment contribute positively to your emotional and physical wellbeing. We value and respect people’s different backgrounds, characteristics, ideas and beliefs, and have a number of thriving networks to connect people, including  PT CAN, celebrating cultural diversity, PT Now, supporting women and parents and Pulse, our LGBT+ network.

Developing our people

As an organisation, our purpose is to support young people to grow, develop and achieve their potential, and it shouldn’t be any different when it comes to our own colleagues.

The Learning team at The Prince’s Trust provides a wide variety of formal learning opportunities, but learning here is more than just training courses. We are committed to supporting and empowering our colleagues to drive their own development.
