What we do
halow’s purpose is to support young people with a learning disability on their journey into and through adult life. Overall halow aims to ensure that every person with a learning disability has the same life choices and chances as any other person.
halow has four main initiatives which are Building Futures (our educational programme), Social Activities, A Reason To Get Up (our life skills and meaningful occupation programme) and the halow Buddy Service – all of which help our Young People to gain confidence and their independence. halow Outreach Buddies work 1:1 with our Young People to support them in accessing the other programmes and their communities; halow Supported Living Buddies work with Young People in their homes (the Supported Living houses) and halow Learning Support Buddies support Young People specifically on the Building Futures programme.
